Lomi Lomi is an ancient Hawaiian practice of massage that encompasses the whole physical body, mind and spirit. The word lomi has its roots in Hawaiian and Polynesian languages, and translates as to ‘knead or soothe, working in and out as the paws of a contented cat’, said twice for emphasis.

Lomi lomi massage provides the gateway for deep healing, where both the practitioner and receiver engage in reconnecting with spirit, through a loving and nurturing touch. It is performed to the whole body and consists of long flowing, repetitious strokes to lull the nervous system into a state of deep restoration and relaxation. Muscle tension dissipates, circulation and lymphatic flow increases, which aids the body in the process of detoxification.
